A Sioux Falls-based employment software company is expanding into a recently renovated space in downtown Sioux Falls.

HireClick, which is co-owned by Rich Abild and Scott Petersen, is a software “hiring solution” that helps small to mid-sized employers distribute job postings, manage applications and streamline the hiring process, Petersen said. The company partners with job-posting sites such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Monster and Google for jobs.

The business began as Classified Verticals in 2005 and shifted to the “total solution model” in late 2017. The business changed its name to HireClick in 2021. HireClick is represented in a six-state area and has brought on about 2,600 businesses.

After working out of a 2,000-square-foot office at 8th & Railroad Center in downtown Sioux Falls, HireClick is doubling its space with a move to the newly renovated Johnson Building at 11th Street and Second Avenue. The larger office will accommodate anticipated growth.

“We’re pretty cramped right now,” Petersen said. “We loved our time at 8th & Railroad, but they didn’t have anything large enough to accommodate the growth of the business.”

And HireClick is growing rapidly, Petersen said. There are 13 full-time employees on the team, and he expects to double that number in a couple of years.

HireClick will join Preach-es, a high-end sneaker and clothing boutique, in the Johnson Building, as well as Discovery Realty Group, law office Evans Haigh & Arndt  and Lenae Design.

Petersen plans to move into the new space in late fall.
