Child’s Play Toys has closed one of its three locations.

The toy store at the west-side Lake Lorraine development closed in early January.

Owner Nancy Savage said she decided not to renew the lease.

It was the second location that Savage added, opening it in November 2019 in a newer retail center along Interstate 29.

In 2022, Child’s Play Toys added a location at The Bridges at 57th, taking over the former Kidtopia toy store space.

“I really only wanted two stores,” she said of her decision to close one of the three.

“Lake Lorraine was really good to us. Bridges is just a great location.”

The original downtown store, which opened in 2009, remains open.
