Wendy’s is back to two Sioux Falls stores — at least for now.

After opening a new restaurant at Dawley Farm Village earlier this year, Wendy’s has closed its longtime location at 41st Street and Louise Avenue on the campus of The Empire Mall.

That leaves the new east-side store and the location along West 12th Street at 400 S. Lyons Ave.

The local Wendy’s locations are part of a larger franchise group. Last year, the franchisee said the market could support up to four locations, so it’s possible a new site will be announced to replace the mall one.
