Changes in hours, service
- Falls Overlook Cafe by Stensland at Falls Park had to shut down Tuesday after a water pipe burst and flooded the kitchen. “At this point, we’re anticipating reopening with a limited menu tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, time TBD,” said Leah Moller, a Stensland family owner who manages retail operations and marketing. While regular hours will resume after that, the menu will continue to be limited for a while based on how much restoration work is needed, she said. Check Facebook for updates.
- The food truck Geo’s Hamburger Shopp, which reopened in early April, had planned to close up shop in Sioux Falls and return to Okoboji around Memorial Day. Instead, owner George Hendrickson found a brick-and-mortar location there next to The Ritz and someone to operate the food truck here – but only on weekends. Geo’s, which also serves lobster rolls, all-beef hotdogs and a smoked brisket sausage, is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the west-side parking lot at 8th & Railroad Center.
- Credo’s Pub announced last week that it would be closed on Sundays this summer and this week expanded that to Mondays and Tuesdays. The pub at University Village on North Marion Road opens at 11 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Beer School is moving to Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. The space can be rented Sunday through Tuesday for business meetings or private parties with catering provided. Update June 21: Credo’s announced that Beer School is on hold for summer while it’s being revamped.
