Progressive Property Management has a new owner — its original one.

Jannelle Cain started the property management firm in 1997 and sold it in 2006. She’s worked in the industry since 1992 and has owned Pedigree Mgmt & Courses, LLC, since 2008.

Progressive Property Management has had multiple owners since Cain sold it, most recently Jodi and Earl Broker.

“They are moving out of town and selling it back to me,” Cain said. “So, it has come full circle. And there are some accounts that I had way back in the early 2000’s that are still with the company.”

She estimates there are a couple hundred units, a mix of single family and multi-family rental properties in Sioux Falls, Crooks and Harrisburg.

“I specialize in ‘long-term residents,’ so it works out very well for the property owners,” she said, adding she works with several homeowners associations.

Cain has worked in property management more than 30 years and offers continuing education for those who hold a South Dakota real estate license.

“Pedigree Management and Courses, LLC is a very small and ‘hands-on company,’ and we strive to provide the best personal service in the industry.  I specialize in managing other folks’ assets and take it very personally to oversee them as if they were  my own and that they are as successful as possible,”  she said.
