A locally owned franchise of a national bathroom remodeling company has opened in Sioux Falls.

Re-Bath offers a full line of products and finishes from showers and bathtubs to toilets and cabinets and does all the remodeling work.

“We offer basically three categories of services,” franchise owner Rod Moeller said. “We do tub and shower conversions or replacements. We do complete bathroom remodeling, so it extends beyond the tub and shower area and into the flooring, cabinetry, mirrors, lighting, exhaust vents. And then the third category would be disability solutions,” which includes products such as walk-in tubs, low-profile shower bases and grab bars.

“And we handle everything in-house,” Moeller said.

For the complete remodels, “we remove everything down to the studs and start with a fresh slate, so when we go in, we’re not covering up what’s there.”

The business offers in-home appointments to work with customers to design what they want, and they can visit the showroom at 1110 W. 41st St. next to Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet to see entire displays or larger pieces of materials such as acrylic and stone wall surrounds, cabinetry and flooring.

“Sometimes a small sample in a sales kit isn’t really sufficient to satisfy somebody’s curiosity, so we invite them into the showroom so they can take a look at some of the finishes in larger piece,” Moeller said.

Re-Bath, which has been in business for 43 years and has grown to 105 franchises, doesn’t sell its products for do-it-yourself projects.

Moeller bought his franchise after working in a corporate job for 25 years following his military service.

“My passion really is with customer experience, wanting to provide an awesome customer experience,” he said. “I love working with people. This is so different than the corporate world; it’s so much more refreshing.”

His territory for Re-Bath includes Sioux Falls and Sioux City, and stretches from Chamberlain to Watertown, as far south as Norfolk, Neb., and into the Okoboji Lakes area in Iowa.

“As we start building the business, we’re always looking for experienced installers that have experience in finish work. … We’re hoping to double the size of our production staff by late summer, early fall, and then increase again by this time next year.”

Showroom hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and by appointment Sundays.
