Here’s a look at recent changes in the business landscape in the Sioux Falls area.

The Peterson Group, an office of the global organization Transworld Business Advisors, recently opened in Sioux Falls. The business brokerage firm is led by brothers Lynn and Eric Peterson and their sister, Carrie Pederson.

Brooke Schultz has started Reset Sauna and Cold Plunge Studio. The business is in Dimensions Salon & Spa at 1900 S. Sertoma Ave., where Schultz also works. The studio offers a Blue Cub cold plunge tank and an infrared sauna booth. Clients can book everything from a 15-minute cold plunge to a 30- or 60-minute hot-to-cold session.

Pomegranate Market opens Dec. 12 at 350 N. Reid St. at the downtown Cherapa Place development. It’s the second location for the locally owned health food market. It will feature a 60-seat bistro and Groove wellness bar featuring organic juices, specialty drinks and smoothies. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Elk Point-based Thermo Bond Buildings is expanding to Beresford. The business builds modular data centers for the fiber and telecom industry. The Beresford plant will open next year and employ 50 people. It also has sites in Brandon and Elkhart, Indiana.

Longtime locally owned restaurant Nick’s Gyros is opening a second location. It’s taking over the former Caribou Coffee building at 3501 E. 10th St. The restaurant plans to begin remodeling in January, with an expected opening in May.

Patience Pickner has started the flower shop Patience Ann Designs out of her home. Pickner’s experience includes designing an autumn party at the White House, creating bouquets for large online florists, teaching design classes in the U.S. and abroad, and owning a floral and home decor shop in Chamberlain. She most recently worked in design and product development for floral farms in Ecuador and Colombia.

Casey Gillette is the new owner of the Prohibition Pub in Dell Rapids. The bar has a full liquor license, 12 tap lines for beer and a typical bar food menu.
