Whiffer Randall is going into her 39th year serving lunch at Whiffer’s Sandwiches.

She marked her 83rd birthday last week by reopening the North Minnesota Avenue deli that’s known for its heaping sandwiches and homemade desserts.

The meat is stacked high on the sandwiches.

Homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Randall closed the restaurant from January through March. She took a few trips south and played a lot of cards.

Now, she’s back and ready to keep feeding the lunch crowd.
