The owners of Weller Brothers Landscape Professionals have acquired the pool construction and services divisions of Combined Pool and Spa.

Cole and Brent Weller call the move a “strategic expansion (that) enhances Weller Brothers’ ability to create exceptional outdoor living spaces.”

The newly acquired divisions will operate as Parklane Pool Co. Combined Pool and Spa will retain its spa and retail division.

“Pool construction and service are business lines we have been eyeing for quite a while in Sioux Falls,” CEO Cole Weller said in a statement.

“Working with Combined as our subcontractor has been a pleasure for the past 10-plus years. We are excited to build on the foundation Tom (Junck)  and Jeff (Carlson) have laid. Tom comes from a family of pool builders, and we are honored that he has entrusted us  to steward what he has built into the future.”

Combined Pool and Spa now plans to focus on its core offerings.

“I’m excited for what’s next! Jeff and I will continue to be part of this journey, focusing on the parts of the pool business we love to do and allowing Parklane Pool Co. to manage all the moving pieces,” owner Tom Junck said.

“Change is hard, but this will allow Jeff and I to focus on growing the other aspects of our retail business. I’m very excited for our customers, and I know they will be taken care of for years to come by the same great people with renewed enthusiasm and a new name: Parklane Pool Co.”

The deal allows the Wellers to integrate pool design, construction and services into their menu of landscaping services while extending pool design and construction services to other regional landscape contractors., they said.

“With our experience at Weller Brothers, acting as the general contractor on many pool  projects, we have a deep understanding of the nuances you encounter when engaging a pool subcontractor,” Weller said.

“We are uniquely positioned to partner with other landscapers and builders in the region to simplify their construction processes and deliver a top-notch experience. We see this as a gap in the market and a huge opportunity for Parklane. ”

Cole and Brent Weller are graduates of Brandon Valley High School and founded Weller Brothers Landscape Professionals in 2001. They now employ more than 200 lawn and landscape professionals from locations in Sioux Falls, Des Moines and Rochester, Minnesota.
