Sure, Valentine’s Day technically is Feb. 14.

But it’s also a Tuesday. And if a big night out doesn’t exactly work with your week, you’re in luck.

The Vanguard Hospitality family of restaurants — Grille 26, Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls and Morrie’s Steakhouse — is offering special features beginning Friday, Feb. 10, that also will be available Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

“Our reservations for Valentine’s Day itself essentially are full,” Vanguard CEO Ken Bashore said. “But the good news is you can celebrate any day leading up to it and still enjoy some of the features our chefs have created.”

Here’s a taste of what’s on the menu:

Grille 26

In addition to all your Grille favorites, the Valentine’s feature is a surf and turf — a 10-ounce New York strip with charbroiled shrimp, boursin mashed potatoes and asparagus.

A customer favorite is back for long weekend too: toasted ravioli. Sure, it’s technically an appetizer. But can it be your meal? Yes, yes, it can.

And, appropriately, there’s a red dessert: red velvet cookie with ice cream.

Pro tip: If you haven’t rediscovered the Paramount, make that your before- or after-dinner beverage stop. Or, make it your dinner stop. Split some chef-crafted sharables, or enjoy the Minervas Market Bar while sitting in Paramount.

Morrie’s Steakhouse

Lobster lovers, you’ll want to get to Morrie’s this weekend.

The holiday menu offers an amazing steak and lobster dish featuring Lobster Newberg in a puff pastry shell. And you might need to depart from your favorite Morrie’s dessert this Valentine’s week, too, because lava cakes will be featured from Friday through Valentine’s Day.
