Changes in hours, service

  • The food truck Taqueria Gonzalez has moved from its original base at Ninth and Kiwanis to the parking lot of the former Burger Time at 2300 W. 12th St. Owner Ricardo Gonzalez plans to stay open through October or as long as the weather holds. Hours typically are 10 or 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
  • Mechanical issues that temporarily closed Windy City Bites’ brick-and-mortar location haven’t been resolved yet, so The Orion Pub has invited the business’ food truck to park outside the downtown bar. Windy City Bites will serve its Chicago-style cuisine from 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday through October. “At the end of the day, us downtown food and beverage businesses have to stick together, and we saw this an opportunity to help out a business we enjoy while sharing our audience and offering a new flavor outside of the frozen pizzas we typically have available,” pub co-owner Jon Oppold said in a news release.
  • Daily Clean Food & Drink is closing earlier most days – at 3 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. New hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Now, brunch is served all day.
  • With the closing of Office Bar in Montrose, the cafe My Place Montrose has expanded its hours: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
