Restaurant Roundup: ‘Hall of Fame’ features, seasonal menu changes

22Ten Kitchen Cocktails’ latest featured menus for lunch and dinner are called the Hall of Fame. They feature all-time customer favorites and are expected to be available until the last week of June.

New menu additions at Chef Lance’s on Phillips are Mikey’s Coconut Curry Chicken, Filet & Fettucine, Beef Wellington Royale, Sausage Pomodoro, Double Wagyu Burger, Halibut Royale and Shrimp Primavera. See the descriptions and full menu here.

Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen has introduced several menu items – some with seasonal ingredients and others not so much. Between bread, there’s the B&C Burger, Roasted Turkey, Pizzaiola and Seitalian, a spin on an Italian sandwich featuring vegan seitan salami. There’s a Little Gem Salad and Seasonal Asparagus with pickled rhubarb, hazelnuts, sauce gribiche and butter lettuce. It can be served as a dish, sandwich or salad. With warmer weather, the traditional Hawaiian Plate has replaced ramen. It has shoyu chicken or tofu, macaroni salad, white rice, green onions and sesame seeds. See all the menu descriptions here.

Pomegranate Market’s downtown bistro has revamped its burger menu to a smashburger style. The burgers are made with a blend of beef from local Svec Farms and K Creek Ranch. They now come with a side of tortilla chips and housemade queso.

The specials for May at Monks Ale House are the Big Dipowski, Taco Bout A Pizza and Hobblin’ Gobblin’, which is turkey and bacon on a pretzel bun.

The burger of the month at Crooked Pint Ale House is the Candied Bacon Lucy. It’s an American cheese-stuffed patty loaded with candied bacon, Monterrey Jack cheese, maple barbecue aioli, barbecue sauce and crispy haystack onions on a pretzel bun. Get it for $12.

Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe is featuring the Chicken Fajita Wrap this month. Through Friday, buy one and two drinks and get any entree for free. If you order online, use the code FAJITA.

Someday Cafe in Baltic is featuring a grilled pastrami on rye this month. It’s topped with cracked black pepper cheese and garlic mayo, serviced with a choice of side.

Fryn’ Pan has a new $6 Breakfast Scrambler special. Get your choice of ham, bacon or sausage scrambled with two eggs, topped with cheddar cheese and served over hash browns with a side of toast. It’s available from 4 to 11 a.m. weekdays.

Crack’d Pot Restaurant & Bakery has new breakfast specials that are available from 8 to 11 a.m. daily.

Polar Bites is featuring daily specials Monday through Thursday.

Puerto Vallarta’s special for May is one free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meat. The offer is available from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Crisp & Green’s new menu items have arrived: Feta Believe It Salad, Pesto Italiano and Tokyo Garden grain bowls and Mediterranean Crunch Wrap. Featured drinks are strawberry and ginger lemonades and Golden Hour and Power Brew smoothies.

Mexi Rolls are back at Taco John’s for a limited time after an absence of several years. They’re handmade in-house daily and feature beef, refried beans and melted cheddar wrapped in a flour tortilla and fried. Seven dipping sauces are available: nacho cheese, sour cream, guacamole, house salsa, fiesta sauce, ranch and new avocado ranch. They’re available in orders of two, four or six.

Wraps are back at Popeyes. Options include a blackened or crispy tender with lettuce, cheese and pickles in a tortilla. Choose classic, spicy or the new blackened ranch.

The Thai Chicken Wrap is back at Jimmy John’s for the summer. A flour tortilla is filled with chicken, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, onion, mayo and Thai satay sauce. It also can be ordered with a garlic and herb wrap, on French or wheat bread or as an Unwich. There’s also a new cookie: Lemon Strawberry Burst.

Noodles & Company has teamed up with Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings brand to create limited features for May. The Chicken Artichoke Asparagus Rigatoni entrée is tossed in a garlic-herb sauce and the new Cripsy features added cornflakes, butterscotch chips and peanut butter.

The All You Can Eat meal is back at Applebee’s for $16. It features boneless wings, riblets, Double Crunch Shrimp and fries.

Starbucks’ summer menu includes the new Tropical Butterfly Refresher, new Horchata Frappuccino and returning Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso.

At Caribou Coffee, the summer Campfire Mocha lineup includes two new offerings: cold foam and an espresso shaker.

Caribou also has a new Everyday Value Menu. Get a small cold press for $3.50, small brewed coffee for $2, bacon breakfast sandwich for $4 and a blueberry muffin for $3.

Keeping on trend with the protein craze, Ziggi’s Coffee now offers 29 signature drinks with protein already built in, no customization required. Options include drinks like the Frozen Protein Horchata with 24 grams and the Hot Protein Fireside with 26 grams. See the full menu here.

The east-side location of WoodGrain Brewing Co. is hosting KRRO’s listener appreciation party from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. KRRO is serving free Dakota Craft Links brats, burgers made with donated ground beef from Jason Chalupsky and the first round of WoodGrain brews on the east lawn. In addition, full taproom service will be available. DJ Ace from KRRO will be spinning music, and BBQ Heaven will be doing a grill demo.

In addition to the Candyland cocktail menu that we mentioned last week, Highball has introduced its seasonal lineup of featured drinks. Lady Lady, Devil on Your Shoulder, Verdita No. 2, Pinky Promise, Donoran Sunrise, New Boot Goofin’, Negroni al Sesmo, Daisy Jones and What He’s Havin’.

Over at Carpenter Bar, a sister lounge to Highball, five new featured drinks are available: Stone Fruit Spritz, Sunday’s Cool, Master of Disguise, Popi Si and Flying Dragon.

Changes in hours, service

  • Starting this weekend, McNally’s Irish Pub is open now on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The pub also is featuring live music on the patio every Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m., weather permitting. Micah Wetzel is kicking off the addition.
  • Summer hours have arrived at Sweet Cheeks: noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
