Flyboy Donuts helped the Sioux Falls Police Department with its appropriate spin on a trendy “Candy Salad” video. Watch it here.

Guatelinda Bakery specializes in Guatemalan sweet breads and other baked goods, but there’s a new offering on the weekends. Stop by from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for a shuco, or Guatemalan hot dog, cooked up on a grill on the sidewalk in front of the bakery at 919 E. Eighth St. This is no ordinary hot dog though. Bakery owners Edwin and Sandra Besestre load it with carne asada, bacon, chorizo and longaniza — a type of sausage. Condiments include a chimichurri-like sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayo and guacamole, and customers can customize their order. The shuco is on toasted bread made, of course, by the bakery. Sandra Besestre said they might try other Guatemalan street food options.

The traveling food truck Cousins Maine Lobster will be at Remedy Brewing Co. for one day next week serving lobster rolls. Hours will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. If you like, order ahead on the food truck’s mobile app.

The Treasury’s latest menu has several new items, renditions of other dishes and just a few holdovers: Korean Fried Cauliflower, Treasury Dip and Pork Carnitas Tacos.

The feature of the month at The Dive is the Queso Smash Burger. The patty is smothered in house-made queso and topped with tomato, black olive, red and green onions and tortilla chips.

Crack’d Pot Restaurant has created a menu of summer lunch specials.

Here’s the featured three-course menu for August at Chef Lance’s on Phillips. The full menu is available too.

Several classic pitas that disappeared from the menu are back at Pita Pit. The Legacy options are ham, turkey, club, Dagwood, Crave, chicken pesto, Aloha, bacon cheeseburger and fajita. The barbecue chicken bowl is back too.

Severance Brewing Co. is celebrating its fifth anniversary Saturday with the release of five new beers: Bud’s Pet Dragon, ‘Nilla Notes, Jumbo Monster Cookie, Hipster Adjacent on Nitro and Berried Inhibitions. The party goes from noon to 11 p.m. with live music at noon and 3 p.m., yard games, giveaways and limited edition merchandise.

Tuesday’s event is a six-course meal. Tickets are $100 or four for $360. Reservations are required at 605-275-6332 or catering@odetogoodfood.com.

Fernson Brewing Co., which started making beer here in 2015, reached a milestone earlier this week. Beer No. 2 million went through the production line. Guessing it was the flagship Lion’s Paw? Wrong. It was Curio Sour, another core beer.

Session Ale Works’ Facebook page was hijacked, so the restaurant and craft beer bar has a new one that you can find here. There’s still lots of great photos of food – just things you actually can get at Session.
