Have a late-night craving for Chinese?

Panda Express is testing drive-thru-only hours of 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday at its location on the east side of Sioux Falls.

The 41st Street location is not offering the extended hours at this time.

“I’m thinking we’re going to continue this for a couple of weeks,” said Mohit Sharma, area coach for operations for Panda Restaurant Group. Based on customer support, the late-night hours could be adjusted and could become permanent, he said.

“We’re just connecting with the community, and we are here to serve them,” Sharma said.

Another Panda Express in Minneapolis has been testing the late-night drive-thru hours for a couple of weeks, and that is “really going strong,” he said.

For the Sioux Falls location at 5509 E. Arrowhead Parkway, it’s a limited menu with five entrees: orange chicken, grilled teriyaki chicken, honey sesame chicken, honey walnut shrimp, broccoli beef, with sides of fried rice, chow mein and white rice.
