Restaurant Roundup: Chick-fil-A’s new sandwich, unusual menu items, grape picking & stomping

Sept. 7, 2023

Chick-fil-A has a new sandwich and a milkshake for a limited time. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is the original filet and bun with a drizzle of honey, pickled jalapenos and a pimento cheese spread. The Caramel Crumble milkshake is inspired by the flavors that caramelize a the bottom of a blondie pan. Chick-fil-A’s frozen dairy product has butterscotch caramel flavors, and it’s topped with blondie pieces, whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

This new flavor is unusual enough that we had to share it. Stensland Family Farms “whipped up a couple batches of Bleu Cheese Cherry Nut ice cream for you all to try.” Bleu cheese is blended into its signature ice cream base, along with tart red cherries and candied pecans. It’s available in dipping cases at the central and east retail stores while it lasts.
