Property with guest house tops weekly sales report at $1.6M

Two homes topped the million-dollar mark for residential sales for the week of Oct. 11 in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties.

The most expense sale was $1.6 million for a house on 1.5 acres in south Sioux Falls. The 5,100-square-foot home was built in 1957 and extensively remodeled in 2013.  It has three bedrooms and five bathrooms. Features include two kitchens and a owner’s suite with two walk-in closets, a fireplace and a private patio. The four-stall garage includes a bonus room. Outside, there’s an in-ground pool, greenhouse and outdoor fireplace and kitchen. A guest house has 1,050 square feet.

The second-most expensive sale was for $1 million for a house in  a development at Bakker Crossing Golf Course. The 7,000-square-foot home has six bedrooms and four bathrooms. The owner’s suite has two walk-in closets, a fireplace and access to the deck. Features in the lower level include a wet bar, wine cellar and theater room.
