Popular RESGEN Men’s Summit to focus on ‘Being a Man of Courage’

This paid event listing is sponsored by RESGEN.

An upcoming half-day conference designed for men of all ages will focus on the theme “Being a Man of Courage.”

Each year’s RESGEN Men’s Summit has a different overarching theme. Last year’s was on “Being a Man of Growth.”

“God actually gave me the theme for this year’s event prior to the 2023 Summit,” RESGEN founder Tom Henderson explained.

“There are so many stories and scriptures in the Bible that call us to ‘Be courageous in the Lord’ or to ‘Stand firm in the faith.’ In addition, ever since we were little boys, men have been told to be brave and strong, but we often don’t really know what that looks like in our everyday life as a leader, husband, father, student and friend. I also believe one of the most courageous things a man can do is take off the masks we are often tempted to wear and be real. That happens every year at the Men’s Summit, and I am excited for that to happen again this year.”

The popular annual RESGEN Men’s Summit, which draws more than 1,100 men in person and has more than 1,500 watching online and at simulcast sites, will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Central Church, 3102 W. Ralph Rogers Road.

“Something else that is powerful and that happens each year at the Summit is seeing men connect with other men,” Henderson said. “Having this shared experience deepens existing relationships and many times begins new ones.”

Business leader Dan LaRock attends annually.

“With so many pressures keeping me focused on duties in the world, I am grateful for the RESGEN Men’s Summit as it helps keep me centered on the things which are most impactful to my faith, my family and my friendships,” he said.

In addition to Henderson, speakers at the 2024 RESGEN Men’s Summit include:

  • Ryan Leak, executive coach and author.
  • Chris Brown, North Coast lead pastor.
  • David Pollack, college football analyst.
  • Jeff Struecker, former Army Ranger/Blackhawk helicopter pilot.
  • Shawn Reynolds, comedian.

“Every year, God puts together the right group of speakers for the right time. This year is no exception,” Henderson said. “Every communicator has a different style, background, focus and story, but all of them present their content in an engaging way that applies to our daily lives. Guys will be encouraged, challenged and equipped to live out what they hear during the day. They will also laugh a lot throughout the event, which is very important to me because I don’t think we do that as often as we should.”

The event is open to any man 17 or older.

“I love to see how spread out the ages are. If I could guess, I would say that the largest demographic would be age 30 to 50, and the group of men who are 20 to 30 has been growing rapidly from year to year,” Henderson said.

“I love this because I am very passionate about helping college-aged men build a strong foundation prior to them entering marriage, fatherhood, their career, etc.”
