Parade of Homes featured house tops sales report at $3.2M

Oct. 4, 2022

The most expensive residential sale for the week of Sept. 12 was $3.2 million for a new home on the west side of Sioux Falls that recently was featured on the Fall Parade of Homes.

The 7,000-square-foot house sits along the lake in the Cherry Lake West neighborhood. The five-bedroom home, built this year by NRG Homes, is filled with smart home technology and is designed for extreme energy efficiency. Outside, it features an in-ground pool, hot tub, kitchen and bar area.

Another home broke the million-dollar mark. The 5,200-square-foot, two-story walkout is in south Sioux Falls and sold for almost $1.2 million. It was built in 2011 and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Our weekly feature sorts through property transfer records in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties to find the 10 most expensive residential sales.

The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are for Sioux Falls unless noted.
