The new west-side Taco Bell is ready to open.

The first day will be Aug. 26 at 11:30 a.m. at 8340 W 41st St. It’s the sixth store for franchisee Border Foods in Sioux Falls, the 16th in South Dakota and the 252nd in the upper Midwest.

“In 2015, we acquired our first Taco Bell restaurant in Sioux Falls,” said Aaron Engler, Border Foods president and CEO said.

“Now, 10 years later, we’re beyond excited to be opening our sixth location and can’t wait to welcome local taco fans with the bold flavors and fast, friendly service they’ve come to love.”

The first 50 people to visit when doors open at 11:30 a.m. will receive a free #1 combo meal, which is three customizable tacos with a large fountain drink.

The restaurant still is hiring for the new location as well as others across the state. A complete list of job openings can be found on the Border Foods careers website.

The opening is the latest of several in the area of 41st Street and Ellis Road. A Valvoline Instant Oil Change is under construction nearby and expected to open later this year if weather cooperates with construction.
