What brought you to Sioux Falls?

I realized that Sioux Falls is a city full of opportunities! I graduated college from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, and I saw Sioux Falls as a place to be able to use my degree the way I want.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

There is so much to do! I love the area and all the different businesses that are here! I also am very happy now being with The Social, so I am excited to stay in Sioux Falls.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I love being able to see how different weddings, businesses, etc., transform The Social into their perfect vision for their event.

How did you get connected to your industry?

While I was still in college, I had a job doing marketing for a restaurant chain. After college, I used that experience to help me find the job I really wanted, but with more public relations involved. I saw the opening listed for venue manager and went for it. Now, I get to use public relations every day in the event industry.

Describe The Social in three words.

Unique, industrial, fun.

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

I am very interested in cars, new and old. My dad has been in the car industry my whole life, and I have always loved learning about them from him. I even did an internship at a car dealership and was absolutely obsessed with the car shows we hosted every year.

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

I love being able to host and promote events for local nonprofits. Working with nonprofits has always been so near and dear to my heart. I absolutely love any chance that I have to be able to help them help others.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

I would love an In-N-Out Burger. I absolutely love their Animal Style fries.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself in Sioux Falls! The Social is so new right now, and I would love to be here to help it grow!
