What brought you to Sioux Falls?
After attending college in Mankato, I knew I wanted to return to the Sioux Falls area. I was drawn back by the many opportunities here to find a career that I would truly enjoy.
What keeps you in Sioux Falls?
Even though I recently moved, I still work out of Sioux Falls and find myself here often. I love that there’s always something to do — whether it’s spending time with family, going to a concert, trying out a new restaurant with friends or attending networking events with the Young Professionals Network or Sioux Empire Society for Human Resource Management.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite part of my job is building meaningful connections. Whether I’m supporting a teammate, attending career and job fairs or helping with our internship program, I enjoy creating experiences that make a positive impact.
How did you get connected to your industry?
Interviewing for jobs always felt intimidating to me, so I wanted to be on the other side of the process and create a more positive experience for candidates. That led me to an internship with The First National Bank in Sioux Falls, which eventually turned into a full-time position.
Describe your workplace in three words.
Fulfilling, exciting and empowering.
What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?
I was in a car accident the first day I got my driver’s license.
What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?
Volunteering with Junior Achievement of South Dakota because I love spending time with children.
What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?
Trader Joe’s or Abercrombie & Fitch!
