Whether it’s a small office, team from work or major celebration, your end-of-year event can find a home at one of four outstanding restaurants from Vanguard Hospitality.

But dates are filling up quick, so here’s what you need to know to find the space that’s right for you.

Great escape

Change up your holiday gathering with fantastic food and a subtle reminder that warmer weather is still ahead.

The private dining room at Turks & Caicos Cabana Grille is located off the bar and can be reserved for parties of up to 12 people.

“It’s a comfortable, classy space that we find groups really enjoy for parties and catching up,” Vanguard CEO Ken Bashore said.

“You can even reserve it for lunch, which we know is convenient for many offices and groups of friends trying to arrange a time to meet during the holidays.”

For larger groups, Turks & Caicos offers a semi-private dining room off the entrance that can seat two dozen guests.

“It’s a great space if you’re looking to bring a larger office team or maybe entertain clients for an evening event,” Bashore said.

Downtown favorite

Set in the heart of downtown and its holiday spirit, Minervas always provides a classic backdrop for your year-end events.

“We find people love combining a show at the Washington Pavilion or a ride through Falls Park with dinner, or cocktails and dessert at Minervas, and we love serving them,” Bashore said.

The lower level includes full audio-visual capabilities and is ideal for larger groups.

“We can always help prepare a customized menu for your group as well,” Bashore said. “Or if you’d rather bring the office in for a holiday lunch, just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll set up a great spot for you in one of the dining rooms.”

Small-group getaway

If your group is a little on the smaller side, consider Grille 26. You can make a reservation for parties of five or more.

“We have some great seating options for a group of that size, including a popular circular booth in the bar area and a long table near our wine room,” Bashore said.

“We also can rearrange some tables in the main dining room to accommodate your party. Just give us a heads-up, and we’ll make sure we find a great spot for you.”

Morrie’s night — or lunch — out

What better way to say thank you, ring in 2020 or celebrate 2019 than with a dining experience at Morrie’s Steakhouse?

The executive boardroom seats 30 and features a large television for laptop access, while the banquet room seats up to 65 guests with a projector and screen available.

“We find many businesses enjoy giving a brief presentation to their clients and employees and then transitioning to a dinner or cocktail hour, and this is the perfect setup for it,” Bashore said.

And here’s a lesser known fact about Morrie’s: You can have lunch there.

“We take reservations for lunch parties, and we find guests really enjoy those,” Bashore said. “You likely will have the space all to yourself, and we can work with you to determine a menu that provides some great options for your party.”

Is your favorite Vanguard space booked already for your date of choice? Consider shifting your celebration into January or even February. There’s a lot less going on and a lot more enthusiasm for an excuse to do something fun!
