Our friends at Vanguard Hospitality have menus filled with delicious options, but here are a few special indulgences to try:
Catfish Lafitte at Grille 26
Trust us: This is a Mardi Gras must-try. Egg-battered, deep-fried catfish is accompanied by creamy Creole sauce, ham and Creole succotash. It won’t be around much longer, so eat it now!
Creole Cioppino Pasta at Minervas
It’s spicy seafood pasta goodness for Mardi Gras at Minervas. This dish includes mussels, shrimp, scallops, Andouille sausage and spicy marinara over pappardelle pasta.
Lamb Osso Buco at Morrie’s Steakhouse
One of the newest menu items at Morrie’s is guaranteed to deliver this Fat Tuesday. A braised lamb shank served with purple haze red pepper mashed potatoes, it’s accented with a tomato-pepper relish and orange walnut gremolata.
Bananas Foster
And dessert naturally must be bananas foster. We couldn’t decide between the classic at Grille 26 and the cinnamon roll-accented version at Minervas. So flip a coin and happy Fat Tuesday!
