Several Sioux Falls-area businesses are offering free meals and drinks and other specials for veterans for Veterans Day on Friday.

Some offers include active military. Be sure to bring a military ID.

Check back because we’ll update this until noon Friday as we learn about more offers. They’ll be added at the bottom of the list.

  • Bagel Boy: Free small coffee or fountain soda for veterans.
  • The Barrel House: Free entree for veterans and first responders.
  • Big J’s Roadhouse in Harrisburg and Humboldt: Free meal of your choice for veterans.
  • Blarney Stone Pub: Free pint of beer for veterans and active-duty military.
  • Blue Rock Bar & Grill: Free entree for veterans and active-duty military.
  • Buffalo Ridge Brewing in Hartford: BOGO on craft beers for all veterans.
  • Carino’s: Free entree – pick from four options – for veterans and active-duty military. Dine-in only.

  • Chick-fil-A: Free chicken biscuit from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. for active and veteran service members.
  • Covert Artisan Ales & Cellars: Free pint for veterans and active-duty throughout the week.
  • Crack’d Pot: Free breakfast of two buttermilk pancakes, two strips of bacon and one egg with coffee or fountain drink for veterans.
  • Cracker Barrel: Free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake to veterans and active-duty military.
  • Crooked Pint Ale House: Free menu item for veterans and active-duty military for dine-in.
  • The Dive: Free burger or sandwich for veterans.
  • Dunn Brothers Coffee on West 12th Street: Free brewed coffee and half-price breakfast or lunch items.
  • Famous Dave’s: Free Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich and choice of side for active, inactive and retired military personnel. For online carryout orders use code VETERAN.
  • Fareway: 15 percent discount to veterans, retired and active-duty military members.
  • Hy-Vee stores are serving a free breakfast buffet from 6 to 10 a.m. for veterans and active-duty military members. Dollar Fresh markets will serve free doughnuts and coffee. Veterans and active-duty personnel also will get 15 percent off their grocery bill that day either in store at Hy-Vee and Dollar Fresh locations or through Aisles Online. Use code HOMEFRONT15.
  • Kingbird Coffee Shop in Brandon: Free drink for veterans and active duty.
  • Lupulin Brewing Co.: Doors open early at 11 a.m., and veterans get their first beer for free. The brewery will donate $1 from every pour to American Legion Post 15.
  • MacKenzie River Pizza, Pub & Grill: 25 percent off for the entire table for dine-in or carryout for veterans and active-duty. Not available through online ordering.
  • McNally’s Irish Pub: Veterans will receive 20 percent off a meal.
  • My Place Montrose Cafe in Montrose: Free coffee for veterans and free rainbow sherbet for everyone.
  • Oh My Cupcakes: Free cupcake for veterans.
  • The Original Pancake House: Free entree for veterans from the Salute menu.

  • Ruby Tuesday: Free Endless Garden Bar for veterans and active-duty military.
  • The SandBar & Grill: 25 percent discount for veterans.
  • Sickies Garage: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free Garage Burger or 20 percent off another menu item.
  • SoDak Soda: Free 24-ounce drink for veterans and active-duty.
  • Squealer’s Smoke Shack in Tea: Half-price meal for veterans or active-duty.
  • T-Juanita Street Food and Cheladas: Veterans, active-duty and their families get a 15 percent discount all week. Update: Also there’s a BOGO offer on Friday for veterans and active-duty. 
  • Watecha Bowl: $5 Indian tacos for veterans and active-duty.
  • The Wooden Nickel in Crooks: Free drink for veterans.
  • WoodGrain Brewing Co.: Show your military ID to the bartender and the owners will put your first beer on their tab.
  • Yakkity Yak Coffee Shack: Free coffee or half-price specialty drink for veterans and active-duty.
