A children’s boutique in downtown Dell Rapids is shifting its business online.

Owner Heather Ness opened Corduroy & Pixie Dust in 2017. She also briefly had a location in downtown Sioux Falls in 2019.

In addition to children’s apparel, accessories, books and toys, the store added apparel for women a few years ago.

In a social media post, Ness wrote: “The last year has brought many positive changes for myself, and we have made the decision to explore new opportunities and embrace new paths. We are grateful for the support and blessings we have received from our store and community.”

While the storefront will close sometime this month, the plan is to continue to operate online, offering balloon and candy bouquets in addition to merchandise.

A going-out-of-business sale will be held starting this weekend and include fixtures and decor.

Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
