Cryo, light therapy business opening soon

By Jodi Schwan

A business offering cryo and light therapy is coming to Sioux Falls.

CryoRev will be owned by longtime former Hy-Vee store director Bob Trader.

“One of our daughters experiences mild, lower back pain from competitive cheer, and I’m excited to see how these therapies could benefit her. Once people experience how they feel after the therapy, like I have, I know the concept will take off,” Trader said.

The business will include a cryosauna and a NovoThor Light Pod.

The cryosauna provides whole body exposure to subzero temperatures to decrease inflammation, increase cellular survival, decrease pain and promote overall health. A typical session is about 3 minutes.

NovoThor is a whole pod that provides low-level red and infrared light therapy. It allows the body to reduce “oxidative, which is widely accepted by medical professionals as the underlying trigger for some diseases and degenerative conditions,” Trader said.

CryoRev plans to open in a few weeks in the Heather Ridge office park at 6330 S. Western Ave.

Other tenants in the building include Kaufhold & Dix Patent Law, TruMassage Therapy, Bartels Counseling Services and Keller Williams Sioux Falls.

The property is managed by Van Buskirk Cos.

CryoRev is the second business offering cryotherapy to announce it is coming to Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Cryo plans to open this month at Lake Lorraine.
