Fazoli’s second location in Sioux Falls has opened at 5120 E. Arrowhead Parkway. The restaurant features a drive-thru and a party room. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The owner of The Big Orange Truck is buying Harrisburgers, which closed Dec. 30. Dean Marshall hopes to reopen the Harrisburg restaurant in March and might give it a new name. The menu will continue to feature burgers and ice cream but will expand will some of his food truck offerings and new items. The food truck is for sale.

After announcing that Watecha Bowl would close as a restaurant and return to being a food truck, the owner has changed his mind. After suffering a health scare, Lawrence West reevaluated his plans.

Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh at 1200 S. Minnesota Ave. has closed. The owner of the Omaha-based restaurant chain said it had been closed temporarily because of staffing, but now it’s permanently shut down. It opened in March 2019.

The Big Dill, which opened in Tea last summer, has moved to 46992 271st St. — just east of I-29 Antiques & Collectibles Mall near the Tea exit for I-29. The sports bar is open daily.

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society plans to reduce its national footprint from 22 states to seven in an effort designed to consolidate its core area for long-term care services. Nearly 70 percent of the seniors currently served by Good Samaritan live in the core states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado. The move, which will happen over the next two years, includes looking for buyers of the senior care facilities in the 15 other states.

Trey Bren and his mom, AJ, have started Mama Troll Salsa. They sell their homemade salsa, which started with his grandmother’s recipe, online and at craft shows.

The owners of Mi Casa Latina Mexican Store plan to open an express restaurant in a vacant space next door. Taqueria Los Primos will be in the former Pizza Man space at 807 S. Marion Road. The family hopes to open it this summer.

SafeSplash Swim School is taking reservations for classes at its new Dawley Farm Village location, with lessons scheduled to begin Feb. 15. It’s the second location in Sioux Falls for the franchise owners.

Valentino’s is scheduled to open its carryout restaurant Feb. 6 at 2904 S. Ellis Road. It also will offer delivery and catering of its pizza, pasta, salads and breadsticks.

Stride Rite franchise owner Tami Lien is closing the shoe and clothing store she has owned for 23 years. She will close the store by March 31 when the lease is up at the River Plaza retail center at 2425 S. Shirley Ave.

Within months, Kwik Trip likely will have three Kwik Star convenience stores under construction in the Sioux Falls area — its first in South Dakota. In addition to two locations in southeast Sioux Falls and one in Brandon, the Wisconsin-based family-owned company is buying land in Harrisburg.

Longtime children’s consignment shop Kids & Kaboodle Children’s Shop is closing. Wendy Haugen opened the store at 1700 W. 33rd St. in April 1991. Her lease expires March 31.

Jane Lee Studio is moving to Lake Lorraine. Madison Boss and Nessa Wold, both licensed cosmetic tattoo artists, started their business in September. They are working out of Rouge Salon Suites until their new space is ready. The studio offers brow microblading, permanent eyeliner, lip blushing and a unique procedure called scalp micropigmentation.

Winner-based Grossenburg Implement Inc. has acquired an additional John Deere dealership: Pedersen Machine in Beresford. It becomes the ninth location in three states for Grossenburg, a fourth-generation family business.

Kosama, a fitness studio at 6909 S. Louise Ave., has closed.
