Aldi plans to open its fourth Sioux Falls store next month.

The location at 4201 W. 61st Circle N. will open at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 and serve the growing northwest part of town and nearby communities.

It’s part of what Aldi calls an aggressive nationwide growth plan to open 150 additional stores and become the nation’s third-largest grocery retailer by store count by the end of the year.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for five years running,” Matt Lilla, Faribault regional vice president for Aldi, said in a statement. “We have served this community for more than six years and are excited to continue to offer Sioux Falls residents an affordable way of shopping.”

The new store will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The first 100 customers Dec. 8 will receive a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket giveaway program. Shoppers also can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.
