Two homes topped the million-dollar mark for sales in the week of May 16.

The most expensive residential sale was $1.3 million for a home in the Prairie Hills neighborhood in south Sioux Falls. The 5,100-square-foot ranch walkout was built in 2008. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The owner’s suite has his-and-hers walk-in closets. The lower level features a wet bar, theater area and game room. The home sits on a 1-acre lot, and the landscaped backyard features an outdoor kitchen, hot tub, extensive garden beds and a koi pond.

The No. 2 home in the east-side Copper Creek neighborhood sold for $1,049,500. The 4,000-square-foot home was built this year by Hartung Homes and has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Features include 8-foot windows, a screened-in deck and a four-stall garage.

Our weekly feature sorts through property transfer records in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties to find the 10 most expensive residential sales.

The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are for Sioux Falls unless noted.
