Former Sanford Foundation leader joins Bender

Feb. 25, 2022

Sanford Health’s former chief philanthropy officer is making a career change.

Bobbie Tibbetts has joined Bender Cos. as a commercial real estate sales and leasing agent.

“I’ve spent my professional life with people at the center of my work. As I was looking at opportunities, which included varying industries and different roles, I wanted to be sure I could focus my efforts on helping people and being engaged in the progress of the community,” she said in a statement.

“At the core of commercial real estate is people. My background and the authentic relationships I have been able to foster and build throughout my career have and will continue to allow for trusted conversations and transactions in the commercial real estate space.”

Tibbetts said she looks forward to partnering with clients “to pursue their ambitions by connecting them with space that allows their business to grow and thrive,” she said. “I love this community, this region and this state, and I’m eager to be a part of its development and its progress.”

Tibbetts is a Nebraska native and University of South Dakota graduate who rose through the ranks of the Sanford Health Foundation to become chief philanthropy officer.

She resigned late last year among other executive departures.

“I’m eager to bring many of the same passions I had into this new arena. Real estate is the perfect marriage of the relationships that I’ve come to cherish, the passion I have for helping people and my desire to see our community become even greater,” she said.

“I feel I’ll get the best start in the business, surrounded by the best people in the business, with being at Bender Commercial. The brokers and the team members believe in taking care of people, doing the right thing and supporting one another — I couldn’t ask for a better, more supportive environment.”
