Two homes top million-dollar mark in weekly sales

Sept. 27, 2022

Two homes broke the million-dollar mark for residential sales for the week of Sept. 5.

The most expensive home sold for $1.3 million in The Grand Prairie neighborhood south of Prairie Green Golf Course.

The 4,900-square-foot house has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. It was built in 2014 and includes several smart home features and a plug-in in the garage for an electric car. The primary suite has a walk-in closet, and the kitchen has a walk-in pantry with its own refrigerator. There’s a screened-in porch and a paver patio with a fire pit.

The No. 2 home, an acreage between Sioux Falls and Garretson, sold for $1.1 million. The 5,000-square-foot home sits on 10 acres, along with a Morton building. It was built in 2004 and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Our weekly feature sorts through property transfer records in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties to find the 10 most expensive residential sales.

The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are for Sioux Falls unless noted.
