You’ll be able to do holiday shopping at Toys R Us again this year — you’ll just need to go to Macy’s.

The toy retailer announced that by mid-October it will be inside every Macy’s department store, which would include the location in Sioux Falls.

Toys R Us used to have a standalone store on The Empire Mall campus.

From Oct. 15-23, every Macy’s store will host family-centered activities and giveaways from brands such as Lego and Barboe to celebrate the toy store’s opening.

It’s also planning to open 10 flagship stores in major U.S. cities.

Toys R Us was founded more than 70 years ago. While it closed in Sioux Falls in 2018 as part of a nationwide bankruptcy, there are nearly 900 branded global stores and e-commerce business in more than 25 countries.
