A new business that specializes in quick oil changes has opened.

Take 5 Oil Change is in a new building on East 10th Street between Taco John’s and Caribou Coffee.

It’s offering 50 percent off oil changes through the end of the day Saturday, closing Sunday for a day off and then opening Monday with $15 off any oil change.

The franchisees are Max Pfeiffer and Kevin Weisbeck, who are based in Aberdeen and have a background in the hospitality industry.

“It’s a quick oil change. We really focus on speed but also quality of the service,” Pfeiffer said when announcing the project.

The average oil change is done in 11 minutes, he said. The business doesn’t offer tire rotation.

“We’ll check pressure, fill tires, do air filters, but we’re not doing any full service outside of the oil change,” he said. “You don’t get out of the car with our service. We greet you with a bottle of water, a dog treat if you have a dog; if you have kids, we have gummy snacks. So the customer stays in the car, and we try and make it as fast and efficient as we can.”

Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
