Jan. 6, 2022
Taco Bell is the latest restaurant chain to launch a subscription service: Think a taco a day for a month.
For $10, the Taco Lover’s Pass allows for one of seven signature tacos a day for 30 days.
They include the crunchy taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, soft taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Doritos Locos taco, Doritos Locos Taco Supreme and spicy potato soft taco.
“Tacos are in our DNA,” Zipporah Allen, chief digital officer at Taco Bell, said in a statement. “And we’re thrilled to offer our most ordered menu item through the Taco Lover’s Pass. It’s a fun way to continue offering unique ways to reward our most loyal fans through our digital access points.”
The pass is available only through the Taco Bell app.
The national launch follows a test in Tucson, Arizona, where 20 percent of pass purchasers were new to Taco Bell’s rewards program. The most redeemed taco: Doritos Locos Taco Supreme.
Subscription services have started to take off in national restaurants, including coffee subscriptions at Panera Bread and Burger King.
