Swamp Daddy’s finds new location
March 18, 2026
Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen is flying high after announcing the new location for its restaurant.
The restaurant will start taking online orders on Thursday, preparing its specialties in the kitchen of the former Umami Cafe & Catering, located at 3501 N. Aviation Ave., north of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport terminal.

“We couldn’t feel more supported, and that means a lot,” Swamp Daddy’s owner Inkka Beaudion wrote of a conversation with Umami chef Jess Blodgett. “We can finally breathe a little, and a huge weight has been lifted.”
Beaudion and her mother-in-law started the business in 2014, operating as a food truck. Swamp Daddy’s was one of the first tenants in the first-floor marketplace at the Jones421 Building. It opened in 2018 and moved into a larger space in 2022.
It closed in the downtown location in late February. When Beaudion announced the closing, she said she did not have a new location selected but promised to reopen.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Beaudion wrote: “This new chapter looks a little different in more ways than one — and that’s okay. It may not be on the side of town everyone expected — and that’s okay.”
She concluded: “What matters most is that we’re still here, still cooking and still excited to serve you. We’ve missed you!”
The site in the Signature Aviation building has been home to several other restaurants. It is not on airport property, Beaudion noted in answer to a question on Facebook about needing identification cards.
