The west-side Sioux Falls Kohl’s will be adding a Babies R Us store-within-a-store.

The store at 3800 S. Louise Ave. is among 200 locations nationwide that will receive the new shop later this year. An expanded assortment of products also will be available nationwide on Kohls.com.

The Babies R Us shop “will feature a curated assortment of the latest baby gear, furniture, activity, accessories, and more,” the company said in a statement.

“Adjacent to the shop, customers will find the best of Kohl’s existing baby and kids’ apparel and other offerings from brands like Little Co. by Lauren Conrad, Jumping Beans, Carters, Nike and more to create a comprehensive baby shopping experience.”

The first Babies R Us shops will begin opening in August and continue opening through fall, with all 200 shops open in time for the holidays.

Babies R Us was part of the Toys R Us store in Sioux Falls that closed in 2018 after the company went bankrupt. Both brands were picked up in a liquidation sale by Tru Kids, and WHP Global later bought a controlling interest.
