The new Silverstar at 1500 S. Minnesota Ave. has opened and will be a flagship for the brand, which has eight locations in Sioux Falls and two more under construction.

“This ninth location is a great addition for our members, who have been asking for a central Sioux Falls location for years,” operations director Andrea Vetos said.

“As our biggest location yet, in addition to the car wash it will serve many other purposes. First, we will have our Midwest training facility that will allow staff from the four states we serve to meet monthly for our ongoing training programs. Second, it will serve as a home base for our construction team, where they will have a dedicated work area for their vehicles and tools. And finally, we have a backup part for every piece of equipment we have, and this location will allow us to store all these parts in one spot.”

For the first two weeks, Silverstar will donate a portion of its proceeds and accept freewill donations to Emily’s Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to removing the stigma of substance use disorder through awareness, education and prevention; and to removing financial barriers for treatment and recovery.

“Supporting the powerful work of Emily’s Hope is an honor and furthers our community-first mission to support our neighbors,” Vetos said.
