Who says the city’s most iconic restaurant can’t be a little high-tech too?

Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls recently updated its digital “home” with a new website at minervas.net.

“We know that online, our website is our ‘front door,’” said Ken Bashore, CEO of Vanguard Hospitality, which owns Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls, Grille 26 and Morrie’s Steakhouse.

“So just like when guests walk in our physical front door, we want them to feel surrounded by what it means to be part of Minervas – from our dining spaces to our menu. This new site definitely achieves that.”

Along with a user-friendly layout and gorgeous new photography, the Minervas website now offers four new ways to connect online and learn more about this downtown dining gem.

Peek into the past

Minervas has an incredibly fun, rich history. While it opened in 1977, the location at 11th Street and Phillips Avenue was home to memorable dining for decades before that.

Explore all the iterations of this historic space on the new website.

Book your event

Event planners know – the more seamless, the better. Not only can you go to minervas.net to learn about the private dining spaces available throughout the restaurant and the attached Paramount cocktail lounge, but also you can fill out a request for proposal online.

“We’ll take your contact information, the date of the event, your guest count and any other details you’d like to provide,” Bashore said. “We’ll review it and get back to you, so you can handle making the request when it works for you, and we have all the information we need to try and accommodate you.”

Partnerships shine

At Vanguard Hospitality, local partnerships are what make the menus. So there’s an entire section at minervas.net where you can get to know the local farmers, ranchers and specialty producers whose incredible food is supplied continually into Vanguard restaurant kitchens.

“We absolutely love growing local partnerships, and we want our guests to learn the stories of these local producers as they’re making their dining decisions,” Vanguard chief operating officer Tim Meagher said. “We’ve told some incredible stories already and have more to come, so this is an important digital ‘home’ for these stories.”

Apply to join the team

A role at Minervas truly leads to a culinary career. Much of the team brings decades of experience and continues to grow professionally every day. While you can always stop in the restaurant to apply, the new minervas.net makes it much easier to submit your information so the Vanguard team can begin finding a potential fit for you.

“We are committed to being a place where you can build a truly rewarding career,” Meagher said. “That starts with making it as easy as possible to apply to be part of our team.”

Plus, like any outstanding website, this one will be updated frequently. Watch for the latest Minervas news, menu updates and special events.

Next up: Easter Sunday! Details coming soon.
