School’s out, summer is approaching fast, and it’s not too late to make it a more active and memorable one.
GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness members will find a calendar filled with sports camps, family-friendly activities and ways to save.
Here’s a look at eight ‘Great’ ways to make the most of your membership in the months ahead.
PLAYEverything
If the child in your life plays nothing else this summer, PLAYEverything.
This GreatLIFE program is available to age 8 to 13 and offers a chance to learn various sports and life skills in a fun, positive environment.
Sessions run June 2-25 and July 14-Aug. 6.
Sport performance
As kids age 7 to 18 begin to specialize in sports, GreatLIFE’s sport performance camps work on speed, agility, reaction time, jumping and landing, strength and power development, and teamwork.
Eight-week programs start June 1.
GreatLIFE Golf Academy
The youngest golfers in your family still have time to sign up for Lil Linksters for age 5 to 7 and Lil Launchers for age 8 to 10.
GreatLIFE Junior Golf Camps also offer an elevated learning experience for golfers age 7 to 14. Held in a group setting, the camps use coaching methods that emphasize game play as the mechanism for skill development.
Middle and high school golfers can sign up for NextGEN programming at the GreatLIFE Golf Academy, offering more advanced golf training for those who want to take the next step in their own golfing journey.

Member education: GLP-1s
GreatLIFE offers quarterly education sessions designed to address timely topics of interest to members.
On June 27, explore the growing field of glucagon-like peptide-1, or GLP-1 receptor agonists and their role in metabolic health, Type 2 diabetes management and obesity treatment. Sign up in the GreatLIFE app.
Take a free fitness class
Did you know GreatLIFE offers members free group fitness classes, beginning as young as 10? Those age 10 to 13 may attend with a parent or guardian, and those 14 an older can sign up on their own for most classes.
Stay active with everything from fun dance-based workouts to aqua aerobics and all-levels yoga.
Become youth certified
Summer is an ideal time for kids age 10 to 13 to become youth certified. This GreatLIFE program is led by a certified fitness professional and teaches proper machine usage, workout planning and gym etiquette. Those who complete the course may work out independently at Woodlake, Performance Center, Avera, Harrisburg, and 41st and Sertoma.
Affordable entertainment
Trying to watch your spending a little more this summer? That’s where your GreatLIFE membership can shine — and still allow you to have plenty of fun with family and friends.
GreatLIFE members can take in a Sioux Falls Canaries game every Wednesday for free, with the exception of June 17.
Save 25 percent off admission any day at the Great Plains Zoo, plus half-off admission to the Washington Pavilion on Sundays or 20 percent off when you purchase a membership.
And bowl for free any weekday at GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes when lanes are available. Families also are welcome to use basketball courts and swimming pools as available at multiple GreatLIFE locations. Visit here for details.

Find yourself going out to eat more when school’s out? Your GreatLIFE membership will save you all day — from your morning coffee and lunch to dinner deals and desserts.
