Sanford opens northeast Sioux Falls clinic

Feb. 7, 2024

Sanford Health has opened its newest clinic in northeast Sioux Falls.

The building that houses the clinic at 5920 E. Madison St. also will include a Lewis Drug retail store and pharmacy.

The clinic features 34 exam rooms, housing family medicine, pediatric, outpatient rehabilitation and women’s services.

The building also has lab, radiology and ultrasound services.

“When the off-ramp from Interstate 90 onto Veterans Parkway was completed a few years ago, we knew this area of town would be in need of health care services,” Paul Hanson, president and CEO at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, said in a statement.

“Today, that need is even more evident as you see this area of town developing with homes and businesses. Not only will this clinic provide care close to home for those who live in northeast Sioux Falls, it will also provide essential health care services for nearby communities.”

The Sanford Health 3D mammography mobile truck will be parked at the new clinic routinely.

Construction on the 26,500-square-foot clinic began in the spring of 2022. Lewis Drug is finishing up construction of its store and plans to open sometime in the first quarter.
