This piece is presented by Vanguard Hospitality.
It’s the only day of the year that Minervas downtown is open on a Sunday.
But Mom is totally worth it.
“We love hosting your Mother’s Day celebrations at any of our restaurants,” said Ken Bashore, CEO of Vanguard Hospitality, which also owns Grille 26 and Morrie’s Steakhouse. “We’ll make sure Mom and the rest of the family have a meal to remember.”
Minervas will be open May 14 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then from 3:30 to 8 p.m., serving its dinner menu.
Grille 26 will offer a special Mother’s Day brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including a first course featuring buffet-style salads, including Cajun pasta salad, apple spinach salad, G26 chop salad, fresh fruit, potato salad and Oreo cookie salad, along with muffins and pastries, and cheese and crackers.
Guests choose their plated second course, with options of stuffed French toast, roasted turkey, beef kabobs, blackened chicken, sun-dried tomato pasta, prime rib of beef, salmon Oscar, quiche Lorraine and Denver omelet.
Dessert features a sampling from The Cake Lady of Sioux Falls.
Grille 26 reopens at 4:30 p.m. for dinner.
Morrie’s Steakhouse will open at 5 p.m.
“If you haven’t brought Mom to Morrie’s yet, I can’t think of a better reason,” Bashore said. “We guarantee she will love it.”
Reservations are suggested for parties of five or more at all restaurants.
