Nunzio’s Food Hall has created two limited-time specialty pizzas available for Super Bowl watching. Pre-orders are open now. The Patriots Pie is topped with thyme bechamel, bacon, potatoes, onions, little neck clams and celery leaves. The Seattle Pie is house-smoked salmon, red onion, capers, chive and creme fraiche. There’s also a Game Day Package with two pizzas, a Caesar salad and choux au craqueline or cannoli.

To celebrate the upcoming game, Poppy’s Popcorn Co. has made bags of popcorn featuring salt in team colors for the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

Chipotle is adding nachos to its digital menu for the first time with three Game Day Nacho Hacks. They’re available on the app and at Chipotle.com through Sunday. They’re customizable, shareable for three or four people and ready for pickup in as little as 10 minutes.

Severance Brewing Co. has a new food partnership with nearby The Lodge Bar & Grill. Customers at the taproom can use a QR code to order online from the full Lodge menu and have it delivered to their table. Severance will still have pizzas and locally sourced snacks for sale in the taproom.

The Dive’s featured sandwich for the month is the Pizza Burger. The patty is a 50/50 blend of sausage and beef, and it’s topped with housemade marinara, pepperoni, mozzarella and basil. “Add whatever pizza toppings you wish – minus pineapple.”

Dahlia Kitchen + Bar’s taco of the month is the Bahn-Mi Smash for $16. Two tortillas are filled with a seasoned pork smash patty with a pickled mix of peppers, carrots and red onion. They’re topped with green onion, spicy garlic mayo and microgreens.

Big Poppa’s Pizza has new daily specials for February.

The featured burger for February at Crooked Pint Ale House is the French Onion Burger. The patty is topped with American cheese, french onion dip and potato chips. It’s served with waffle fries for $12.

Safari Bar & Grill in Renner is having a special rib night Friday. Get a half rack for $16 and a full rack for $30 for dine-in or carryout. The meal comes with gouda mashed potatoes or a baked potato, veggies and a salad.

Flyboy Donuts has created a special box of treats to commemorate the Winter Olympics. The $19 box features five glazed doughnuts decorated as the colorful Olympic rings and three dozen glazed doughnut holes. Order online at flyboydonuts.com.

Featured treats for February at Stensland Family Farms are a chocolate strawberry shake, chocolate strawberry stuffed doughnut and the Very Cherry Choco Chip Brownie Sundae.

It’s the month for strawberry cheesecake and raspberry tiramisu at Johnny Carino’s.

Azteca Mexican Restaurant has a couple of features for February. The new creations are The Spicy Lover margarita with jalapeno and watermelon and White Queso Dip With Chorizo.

The Carpenter Bar Group has created the Cupid’s Cup, with featured cocktails for February at its three locations: Carpenter Bar, Highball and The Treasury. Fill up a punch card with all three drinks and turn it in for a free one. Completed cards are good for a chance at a room The Hotel on Phillips, a $100 gift card to the Carpenter Bar Group and a $25 gift card for Cafe Breadico.

Vinyahd Restaurant Group is hosting a MASI passport promotion this month. Brix Wine Bar, Maribella Ristorante and R Wine Bar & Kitchen are each featuring a different MASI wine. Get a passport stamp for each, and when you’ve tried all three, get a free glass of wine from the winemaker.

The featured latte for February at Daily Clean Food & Drink is Strawberries and Cream. It’s an iced latte with strawberry and vanilla syrups, espresso and a milk of your choice. The drink is topped with strawberry vanilla cold foam and freeze-dried strawberries.

Here’s the featured drink lineup for the month at Brioux Falls. The coffee shop at The Steel District also has a new ham and mozzarella croissant sandwich.

Other burger battle competitions in January also have crowned their winners.
Red Rock Bar & Grill won the Brandon Valley Area Burger Battle with Maui Waui. Six restaurants and bars competed for the annual title. Red Rock will continue serving the burger while supplies last.

Instead of joining that battle this year, Tailgators Grill & Bar in Brandon had its own competition with six burgers. The winner was the Jucy Lucy with the Chophouse Burger coming in a close second.
Valentine’s/Galentine’s
If you’re looking for a meal on Valentine’s Day that you just can’t find every day or something for Galentine’s Day, here are a few offerings we noticed.
- Blarney Stone Pub’s Valentine’s Dinner for Two will be served Feb. 13-14. It costs $100 and includes two drinks, a starter, two entrees and dessert. See the menu here.
- Chef April Cakes, Confections & Celebrations and Calico Skies Vineyard and Winery have created The Perfect Pair Valetine Wine Dinner for 6 p.m. Valentine’s Day at the winery east of Canton. Tickets for the seven-course meal are $97 per person and are limited. Reserve your spots here.
- Chef Lance’s on Phillips is making every day it’s open in February a Valentine’s Day with its Cupid’s 3-Course Menu. Customers can actually order each item separately or pick something from the regular menu. All tables will be set with candles and red roses.

- Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar has a three-course dinner for two on Feb. 14 for $149. The items also will be available Feb. 13 and 15 as chef’s specials. See the menu, and make reservations here.
- Dahlia Kitchen + Bar is serving a Galentine’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 15. There will be a specialty brunch menu and drinks.
- Gist Wine Shop has two events. Up first is a Galentine’s Day celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 13 featuring a wine flight for Swifties. The shop researched some of Taylor Swift’s favorites. The event will include sandwiches by Cultivated in Love, chips and chocolate. There will be Taylor Swift music, and participants are encouraged to bring friendship bracelets to share. Tickets are limited and can be purchased here for $50. Then on Feb. 14-15, the wine shop is offering wine and chocolate flights for $30.
- HK, formerly known as Harvester Kitchen by Bryan, is serving its annual Feast of the Valentine’s Feb. 12-15 in its new home at Cherapa Place. Friday and Saturday nights are sold out. The dinner is $119 per person, with added costs for drinks or the curated wine or sparkling beverage pairings. Make reservations here.
- A Homestead Brew is teaming up with Chef Dominique’s Catering for a Valentine’s Beer Dinner at 6 p.m. Valentine’s Day at the brewery east of Sioux Falls. Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased here. See the menu here.
- Lucky’s on Louise is doing a seafood boil on Valentine’s Day. The price is $69 for two people and includes your choice of a featured drink or dessert. Reservations for an additional $20 can be made online.
- MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub is serving a three-course dinner for dine-in or takeout from Feb. 10-14. It includes two small salads, a large pizza to share or two select entrees and dessert. See the menu here. Bottles of wine will be half-price. Takeout orders must be placed by phone.
- Valentine’s specials at Maribella Ristorante are available all month. Offerings are Arancini con Mais, which are lightly fried risotto and creamed corn balls topped with a jalapeno lime ailoi; Pasta Rossa, which is beet fettucini with prosciutto, figs and toasted pine nuts tossed in a white wine butter sauce; and Torta di Prugna, a plum torte.

- Sister restaurant R Wine Bar & Kitchen also has features. Purple Pearl is a spread of beets and whipped ricotta with a hint of anise and some toasted pine nuts that’s served with bread. The King Oscar entree is tenderloin on a bed of mushrooms and asparagus, topped with lobster and bearnaise sauce. The dessert special is Red Velvet Tiramisu.

- Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews has a specially priced menu for two that will be served Feb. 9-15. It includes an appetizer to share, two entrees and a dessert to share. See the details here.
- Union Social in Harrisburg has a package that’s good for Valentine or Galentine outings. From Feb. 12-15, the $100 package includes one appetizer, two entrees, two desserts and two $25 arcade game cards. In addition, reservations can be made for bowling or axe throwing, and the food will be delivered to your spot.
Events
North End Bakery & Deli is donating all profits from bread sales Friday and Saturday to mutual aid efforts organized by family and friends in north Minneapolis in the midst of the federal government’s immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities.

Saturday is Stensland Family Farm’s annual Ice Cream for Breakfast party. The crew will be serving caramel rolls with ice cream, Belgian waffles with ice cream, mini doughnut sundaes, kids doughnut sundaes, hot chocolate and coffee. Event hours are 9 a.m. to noon.

Totally Rad Eats at Fernson Downtown has created the Totally Rad Friends & Family Dinner Series. Each dinner will feature Beau Vondra, Fernson Brewing’s director of food and beverage operations, collaborating with a regional chef. The first event is Monday night and features Erik Sather of Lowry Hill Provisions in Minneapolis. See the menu and order tickets, which are $100, here. Other available dates are April 13 with Yia Vang of Vinai in Minneapolis, May 18 with Ryan Nitschke of Luna Fargo and Sol Ave. Kitchen in Fargo and June 15 with Jorge Guzman, a James Beard finalist from Minneapolis. A portion of the proceeds from all dinners will go to The Salt Cure Restaurant Recovery Fund, which provides emergency aid grants to Minnesota restaurants facing operational hardships.

Changes in hours, service
- With the death of owner Johnny Phathaem, 9999 Boba is closed until further notice, the family announced. Phathaem died Jan. 30 at age 42.
- Brandy’s Custom Cakery in Parker reopens Friday after its traditional winter break. Retail hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
- The Hello Hi will be closed on Mondays in February while “the staff will be taking time to enhance their craft and even do some volunteering.”
- Falls Overlook Cafe is closed for a winter break but has a yoga session with a light brunch and two comedy hypnotist nights scheduled. See those details here. A reopening date hasn’t been set yet.
