Restaurant owner opens event venue for weddings, more

Jan. 17, 2025

A new event venue near The Empire Mall will host a grand opening Sunday, its first gathering Monday and is taking bookings for weddings and other celebrations and meetings.

Luxe Falls Venue at 2517 S. Shirley Ave. is the creation of Happy Singh, who owns neighboring Shahi Indian Grill with his brother.

Sunday’s grand opening will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include lunch from the restaurant, which will provide catering for the venue along with other vendors.

“We are inviting everyone,” Singh said. “It’s not a sales pitch, just a mix-and mingle. We want people to see what we have.”

The space, which most recently was a YMCA child care center, can hold 230 people, but the setup for tables and chairs will seat up to 200 guests so they aren’t crowded, he said.

The decor is neutral as a backdrop to any colors for a wedding or other event. Linens are included in the rental price.

The venue has suites for the bride and the groom.

There’s a built-in sound system and a 98-inch smart TV.

The space includes a bar with a few seats.

Luxe Falls has a beer and wine license, so those who book the space don’t have to apply for a permit, Singh noted.

A dance floor and stage can be set up for additional fees.

The area is home to several hotels, restaurants and shopping, which will be a plus for out-of-town wedding guests, Singh said.

Weddings will be booked for the entire day, and other gatherings can rent the space in six-hour slots.

Information on rates can be found at LuxeFallsVenue.com.
