Record number of restaurants sign on for Downtown Burger Battle

A dozen downtown restaurants will vie for the title of best burger this month in the sixth annual Burger Battle.
Diners rate burgers based on patty, presentation, toppings, bun and customer service. The highest average rating determines the winner.

- The Market
- Tommy Jack’s Pub
- Wiley’s Tavern
Diners also can enter a weekly restaurant gift card drawing by posting a photo of featured burgers to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, tagging the restaurant name and using the hashtag #BurgerBattle19.
In 2018, 3,317 burgers were sold and rated from six downtown restaurants. Last year’s Burger Battle champion was The Market. Their winning burger, The Harvester, made up 1,285 of the total burgers sold.
The contest runs through Jan. 31 and is sponsored by the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation.
