Rebranded Thai restaurant adds ramen, other Japanese dishes

June 7, 2023

Taking advantage of extra space to create a second kitchen, Pad Thai restaurant is now Ninja Ramen & Thai.

Terry Teng has a new partner in the restaurant at 2700 W. 41st St. – a friend who lives in New York — and they decided to add ramen and other Japanese dishes and rebrand.

The chefs in the ramen kitchen make a dozen options, ranging from traditional tonkotsu shouyu ramen to Korean kimchi and Japanese curry versions.

The menu also includes Japanese donburi and yakisoba entrees. In addition, the appetizer menu has doubled in size with 18 items. Among the new offerings are deep-fried calamari, fried tofu and chicken karaage, a Japanese-style fried chicken.

The original kitchen continues to make Thai favorites such as pad thai, drunken noodles, curries and noodle soups.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
