OsteoStrong has opened a second Sioux Falls location with a new franchisee.

The new east-side wellness center is at 3620 S. Southeastern Ave.

It’s franchised by Kathy Voss, a South Dakota native who moved away 30 years ago and spent her career working for global companies in customer service-related functions.

“During the pandemic, I made a decision to move back to South Dakota to be closer to family and a more normal existence. I brought my job with me; however, the industry I was in (corporate travel) was hit particularly hard and was slow to rebound,” she said.

“My position was restructured last August, so I was faced with determining what was next.”

Her goals in a new position “were to do something local and something meaningful,” she said. “I got together with an old colleague and friend who suggested I look into a franchise, and he said that he knew of one I may be interested in, and that was OsteoStrong. As I looked into it, I loved the concept and felt it was what I was meant to do.”

OsteoStrong is a wellness center focused on helping people of all ages with their skeletal health.

“Through our once-weekly sessions that last less than 15 minutes, our members see reduced joint and back pain, improved posture and balance, and increased bone density,” Voss said. “In addition to our proprietary system, we have modalities such as a hydromassage, compression boots, red light therapy and pulsed electromagnetic therapy that provide a variety of wellness benefits.”

The other location in the Sioux Falls market opened in 2019 at 5031 S. Louise Ave.

“They have helped pave the way in the market, and now it is time to provide a center that makes it easier for our population on the east side of the city and those from Iowa and southwest Minnesota,” Voss said.

“I wanted a center that was easy for my members to get to and one that they would have an easy access to parking. This location fit that bill perfectly. Ronning Cos. has been great to work with in building out our space.”

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

“As we increase our number of members, we will add hours to our days and days to our weeks,” Voss said.
