What brought you to Sioux Falls?

I was born in raised in Sioux Falls. I attended Harrisburg High School.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

First and foremost, my family. I am so close with them, and they are my biggest support system. Secondly, Sioux Falls is such a unique city in my eyes. It provides the charm of a small town but also the vibrancy of a big city. The rapid growth of Sioux Falls creates endless opportunities for anyone who lives here, and it continuously feels safe and welcoming, making me want to grow with it.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I absolutely love the amount of people I get to connect and meet within the Sioux Falls community. It is so great to see so many young professionals so passionate about being a part of the community.

How did you get connected to your new role?

In college, I had the opportunity to work for the Brookings Chamber of Commerce as an intern one summer. This opened my eyes to the role a chamber plays within the community. When I was searching for new jobs, I saw that the chamber was hiring a new YPN manager, and I knew that it was the role I wanted to be in.

Describe your workplace in three words.

Welcoming, upbeat and passionate.

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

Chocolate makes me sneeze. I love it, but something about it does not agree with me.

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

I think my favorite way to give back to the community is supporting local businesses.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

 It would be fun to have some sort of community kitchen where people can gather to cook and socialize.

If you had $1 million to start a business, what kind of business would it be?

I love cooking and baking so maybe some sort of cafe/restaurant.
