What brought you to Sioux Falls?

A job opportunity with Reliabank in Hartford, South Dakota, started the whole transition to move to Sioux Falls.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

The city of Sioux Falls is a great place to raise a family. The local school systems are phenomenal. Sioux Falls is a larger city yet still has a small-town sense of community where everyone has some sort of connection to one another. The city has a great sense of pride and collaboration from the people that call it home.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

The relationships formed with fellow employees and customers are priceless.

How did you get connected to your industry?

The initial interest in banking happened at a young age when my grandfather was a small-town banker in Iowa. The interest in banking continued to grow as time went on. After graduation from SDSU, my history of employment has exclusively been in the banking industry.

Describe Reliabank in three words.

Family, community, passionate.

I am the proud father of three daughters!

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

Volunteering is essential to improving any community. I have been involved in a variety of organizations, ranging from community development to nonprofit organizations.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

In-N-Out Burger and Trader Joe’s.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Same as I am right now: living in the Sioux Falls area and working for Reliabank.
