New Starbucks planned for far west side

Sept. 1, 2021

West-siders: You’ll be getting a new Starbucks.

The coffee shop is expanding to the Westown Marketplace development, which is 25 acres on the northeast side of 41st Street and Ellis Road. That’s where Dollar Tree and Fareway opened earlier this year.

The project is being developed by Cresten Capital Holdings and will be a standalone building with a drive-thru. It’s planned to open in late spring or early summer 2022.

“This is a neighborhood that is growing rapidly and will add even more residents in the coming months,” said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who represents Starbucks in Sioux Falls.

“We’re excited to bring a Starbucks here as it fits their strategy for expansion and we know the nearby residents and employees will love it.”

East-siders, you won’t be left out either. The new Starbucks at 41st Street and Sycamore Avenue is scheduled to open yet this fall.
