Mattress store Beds & Beds soon will have a new owner.

Ryan Redding, who has worked there for three years, is buying it from Carl Klaudt, who bought it in 2015.

The store at 1017 W. 41st St. has a liquidation sale happening.

“We are having a massive inventory reduction sale to get the inventory dollars reduced for the financing,” Klaudt said. “Some of the new adjustable bed systems are here already and priced for half of what you will see elsewhere; that is really exciting to be able to offer such a deal.”

Redding plans to continue the store’s focus on value while updating the website and digital marketing, Klaudt said.

Beds & Beds also added a neighborhood U-Haul dealership to its site in 2018, which is part of the acquisition.

“I will miss helping the customers,” Klaudt said. It “always made me smile to read a review from a satisfied customer that we could help.”

Hours for the liquidation sale are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The sale is scheduled to run until June 30.
